Come to Mission Farms Thursday, November 17 for the unveiling of 17 local artists' paintings which will be displayed in every storefront. The artists will bring the holiday spirit to you with their depiction of Hooray for Holidays! The preview party and shopping night will benefit Variety Children's Charity.
The Variety children's Charity of Greater Kansas City is dedicated to improving the lives and mobility of physically and mentally challenged children.
5:00 - Happy Hour for Young Variety at Blanc Burgers (see details below)
6:00 - Preview Party and the unveiling of the artwork by 17 local artists (more about the artists below)
6:30 - Entertainment by the Shawnee Mission East Lancer Dancers and Kansas City's "Vocalocity"
7:00 - Variety Children's Charity program with Lauren McCarthy; SME Drum Line, Santa and Holiday Tree Lighting
Raffles, silent auction (all storefront artwork will be auctioned off throughout the holidays), refreshments, entertainment

Young Variety supports the mission of Variety, but is a group for volunteers age 21-30-something. All are welcome to attend Young Variety events, such as this. There is no membership fee, really no membership....just come and help support a great cause with other young community supporters.
HAPPY HOUR at Blanc Burger is at 5:00pm prior to the event starting at 7. Young Variety will meet in the bar area at Blanc Burgers + Bottles in Mission Farms and enjoy $3 boulevard beer, special pricing on small bites and the daily drink special.ARTWORK AUCTION (View the artwork!)
The pieces of artwork in the storefront windows have been created and donated by local artists. Each canvas will be auctioned off through a silent auction which will close December 22 at 5:00pm. Silent auction bids will be taken inside the store/restaurant in which the canvas hangs from November 17-December 22. All proceeds from the auction will go to Variety.
