Mission Farms Organic Market
Thursdays from 4:00-8:30pm
East end of the parking lot under the covered walkway.
Our farmers bring seasonal foods each week to the Farmer's Market (since they are grown right here in Kansas or Missouri.) So sometimes you have to wait for the good stuff. For instance heirlooms and sweet corn in July and peaches in August. But it's worth the wait as the crops are locally grown and freshly picked right before each market. And often, you'll find surprises.
Here's a list of what you can expect from our local growers on a monthly basis.
May: radishes, turnips, strawberries, green onions, chard, kale, spinach, arugula, asparagus, lettuces, bok choy, cabbages, broccoli, herbs, tomato plants, sprouts, wheat grass and fresh cut peonies.
June: tomatoes, cauliflower, onions, arugula, spring squash, blackberries, cucumbers, zucchini, new potatoes, snow peas, green beans, carrots, beets, fresh ground organic wheat, corn relish and free-range chickens
July: heirloom tomatoes, eggplant, watermelon, cantelope, tomatoes, cauliflower, onions, spring squash, blackberries, cucumbers, zucchini, new potatoes, snow peas, green beans, carrots, corn relish and free-range chickens, fresh cut zinnias

Always at the Market: fresh eggs, all cuts of beef, pork and lamb, bacon, all beef bologna, brats, chorizo, Italian Sausage, organic soaps and lotions, fresh breads, pizza dough and croutons, honey, jams, green plants, teas, and herbs.
