Keep the beat...a beginner's guide to heart health - February 23 from 6:30-8pm in the back room of Lakeside Tavern.  Sponsored by St. Joseph Medical Center and Mission Farms, this cooking demonstration by Avenues Bistro chef, Carlos Perez, and heart healthy presentation celebrates American Heart Month.  Admission is free, but must RSVP by calling (816)943-2584

During the month of February, 5 cans = Discounts at participating stores.  Donate 5 cans (vegetables needed except for green beans) to the Village Food Pantry by dropping off in the barrels at any participating Mission Farms shop/restaurant and receive a bonus discount.  All through the month of February.
