Mark your calendars now for the end of the month, Saturday, September 26 for the annual Make A Wish Hot Air Balloon Glow.  This is a visual spectacular you won't want to miss.  Beginning at 4:00pm, the Make A Wish tent will have games, food and entertainment for the children, followed by the lighting of 6-10 hot air balloons at dusk.  $5/family or $2/per person.  All proceeds benefit Make A Wish Foundation, whose mission is to grant wishes to area children battling life-threatening medical conditions. 

You can find a drink special nearly every day of the week at Mission Farms.  Begin on Sunday at Zest for 1/2 price bottle wines and $2 domestic beers.  On Monday, you'll find the 1/2 price wine at Rm 39, by the glass or bottle (bottles $100 or less).  Back to Zest on Tuesday for $2 domestic beers and every day you can order $5 martinis (well vodka and gin martinis), cosmos, and lemon drops.  If you have something to celebrate or just want to wind down (or up) at the end of the day, come to Mission Farms!

Please check the calendar of events at www.missionfarms.com, or www.natashasmulberryandmott to find spectacular pastry classes from Natasha.  Sugar cookie decorating (for children, too), cream puff class, and chocolate tastings are all part of the fare being offered this month.  There's an emphasis on the tasting and you'll always leave with a goodie bag. 

Look in your mailbox for a postcard with a plethora of offerings and discounts from the shops and restaurants at Mission Farms.  Offers are good September 16-October 4 with a card in hand.  You may pick a card up at your favorite shop after the 15th. 

Summer may be over, but the fall crops are just coming in.  Squash, apples, potatoes, pumpkins, and more.  September will bring a cooking demonstration on the 17th with entertainment and a special drawing. You can also get fresh bread and organic meat, chickens, pork and lamb.  Not to mention the best bacon you'll ever eat!  Every thursday from 4-8:30pm through October 8.
